About Us
We are Seekers of Truth, Excellence, and Mastery (STEM) Christian Academic Collaborative, a collaborative of homeschool families and highly qualified facilitators coming together to offer college preparatory core requirements and select electives to homeschooled students for high school credit.
Our Mission and Core Beliefs
STEM is a Christian collaborative; classes are approached from a conservative Christian worldview. STEM is committed to following Jesus, our only hope for salvation, and believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. We believe marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman.
We are committed to a foundation built on God’s truth, developing Godly character in our children, and holding them to an academic standard of excellence as they achieve mastery of the skills necessary for college and today’s world.
Our Philosophy
The STEM Academic Collaborative is designed to serve as a partnership between homeschool parents, students, and classroom facilitators to provide a Christ-centered environment and facilitate college prep instruction.
Parent involvement along with student maturity, responsibility, and self-motivation are essential to each student’s success. A family’s choice to homeschool implies that parents are assuming responsibility for their students’ education.
STEM is not a school and therefore does not provide IEPs or any other type of formal learning accommodations. Classes meet once a week and time is limited, thus it may be difficult for facilitators to make accommodations for students in their classes. Any accommodations needed for the student should be discussed with individual facilitators and agreed upon before registration.
